Compass Archaeology was founded in 2000 as an independent commercial unit and has established an excellent reputation in the archaeological community since that date – undertaking hundreds of projects to date.

Our Director, Geoff Potter has many years worth of experience in commercial archaeology – having previously been a Project Manager at both the Museum of London Archaeological Service and Cotswold Archaeology. He is a Member of the Institute for Archaeologists, and has been involved in the compilation of many publications and talks.

Our Assistant Director, Gill King, is also highly experienced in commercial archaeology in London, including a number of years as Project Manager at the Museum of London Archaeology Service.
